Welcome Back Jefferson Students and Families!
We are excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year and hope you are as well.
This year will be different for any other year, and we know it will be a difficult one for our community. Please trust that we are doing all we can for all students to have a year of learning and support.
On Wednesday, August 12th, we will be hosting our 2020-21 Back to School Night. This virtual event will feature an informational video explaining the remote learning process, parent-school communication, the remote learning schedule, and how students will be interacting with their teachers and classmates. The video will be followed by Question and Answer sessions with teachers and support staff for each grade level and for GAP as well as sessions led by building administration. The Video and Question/Answer Sessions will be linked to the Jefferson MS website, https://jefferson.wps60.org and shared on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/tjmswaukegan/. The video will be available at 6PM and Questions/Answer sessions will begin at 6:30 PM.
Two other important announcements:
-
If your child does not have a device for learning (chromebook, computer, etc) and needs one AND/OR if your child does not have an internet connection, please call or email the Jefferson Main Office right away. Phone: 224-303-2560 Email: [email protected]
-
If you need to turn in your child’s health records (very important for 6th graders), please drop them off at Jefferson from 9 AM to 2PM. Just ring the doorbell at Door 6 and the secretaries will direct you.
We are hopeful that all of our families can join us virtually this Wednesday, and that we can meet in person soon.
Thank you for all you do to support our Jaguars :)
Sincerely,
Molly Schaefer and Clarence Berry, Principals
